HI ! here i'll help you to mastering English beyond the school have taught
Since English is an International Language, we all have to learn about it. English becomes a compulsory subject at school as well. but, how if we wanna explore English more? like find out slang and speak fluently in English not only knowing the basics? well, i hope this blog will help you. i wrote this based on my own experience.
1. Make sure you've mastered the basics first
learn some important basic grammar if you're a very beginner learner. like about singular plural, countable, uncountable nouns, adjectives, simple tense, simple past tense, regular & irregular verbs, etc. however, i'm very sure you've learnt about them at school.
if you have some problems of comprehend the basic, you can use internet as a learning facilitator. nowadays are so sophisticated & very practical.
2. Exercise and review everyday
remember that 'PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT'. so, start struggling & stop complaining. make your own schedule to do the exercise. if you're feeling bored of the learning system, change them to be a bit fun such as search English quiz or games in the internet. in essence, you must learn everyday & don't forget to repeat over the lesson!

well, i'll suggest you to review where's your mistake was and learn from your mistake. try to not repeat them in another exercise. correct and repeat them before you go to bed. this way will help you because our memories remembers more when we sleeping.
3. Learn more from English Show or Cartoon
i think this point is important as well. you know why? Because get used to English everyday trough English show & etc can help us to know how to speak English properly like a native speaker. you can learn about the pronunciation, mimic, etc. you can add your vocabulary more by read English comics. Here i'm recommending English show that you can watch

Don't forget to use the subtitle & find the meaning of all the words that you don't know what's the meaning is. try to memorize minimal 5 words before you go to the bed. use your vocabulary in various sentences that you made by yourself.
4. Try to write & read a short story in English
at this point, you can translate your diary, experience, or your witty stories. don't forget to use your vocabulary!
5. Listening English podcasts
this way also help you to improve your listening skill. listen to them in your spare time. if you still not get used yet, it's okay to put the subtitle on but don't forget to memorize the new word. here are some English podcast
